Fractional Marketing Helps Tall Tree Keep on Growing

Tall Tree, an interdisciplinary healthcare clinic serving the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island, had reached a turning point after several years of bootstrapping their marketing. With ambitious goals to grow their presence and attract more clients, they brought us on to provide strategic direction and level up their marketing operations.

Implementing Systems, Structure, and Strategy

While the Tall Tree team wasn’t short on ideas or creative talent, they were looking for guidance on how to focus their efforts for maximum (and measurable) impact. Their CEO, Devon Cochrane, was also involved in the day-to-day of marketing and looking to delegate more to take things off his plate. We helped implement a streamlined content workflow and project management system and standardize goals, metrics, and prioritization criteria. The result: better collaboration, more focus on outcomes over activities, and less direct involvement needed from leadership.

A Fractional Fit

Our fractional model enabled us to collaborate closely with the team and provide both strategic focus and hands-on support. From transitioning their paid ads strategy and defining the right marketing metrics to launching a new clinic and executing regular cross-channel campaigns, we drew from our collective well of marketing expertise to bolster Tall Tree’s strengths and support them in filling in gaps. As Devon shared, “everyone integrated really well. It never felt like a barrier that you were external.”

Creating Clarity, Capacity, and Calm

Over time, the impact of our engagement has been felt across the organization. “We have greater clarity and smoother processes. We’ve really improved the flow of work from our broader team into the marketing team. We’ve got a great sense of what our goals are and what the important measures and metrics are meant to be, and there’s a lot less frustration and confusion about what we should be aiming at,” said Devon.

Devon has also been able to take a step back and reclaim some of his time. “Not only has the work shifted off my plate, but it’s also just become easier: more efficient and organized, so less maintenance work is needed. If I think back to a year and a half, two years ago, the number of hours I had to spend on marketing directly has definitely decreased.”

A Strong Foundation for the Future

Having brought strategic clarity around Tall Tree’s target audience and marketing activities, the team is equipped to continue moving forward with confidence. With scalable systems and a team aligned around a common purpose, Tall Tree is well-positioned to keep on growing.
