Crisp collaborates with LOCO BC each year to create a strategy for its annual BC Buy Local Week. The campaign encourages British Columbians to choose local over shopping at big box stores – particularly important in the recent pandemic years.

Strategic Content and Campaign Management
The primary campaign objective is to connect local businesses’ promotional efforts with the larger BC Buy Local movement to garner greater media attention. Of course, this also includes getting as many British Columbians as possible to shop locally and reinforce their loyalty to local businesses, with another intention being to improve local government support for small and local businesses.

A Long Term Collaboration
We continue to work with LOCO BC, and the annual campaign results are always something to be proud of. In 2023, the campaign was expanded to include more consistent postings on major purchasing holidays, as well as a new campaign aimed at a B2B audience. Paid posts experienced a 90% engagement rate, and partner video ads achieved a 76.4% engagement rate (up from 68% in 2022). A new Amplify Local ad, launched during the 2023 Canadian Small Business Week, saw an 85% engagement rate. The campaigns’ regularly high engagement promises a significant, lasting impact on communities, local businesses, and the BC economy.
